Job summary

Rolls‑Royce in Aiken, SC is seeking a Quality Control Engineer to lead quality initiatives in a manufacturing environment. The role emphasizes resolving production issues, implementing control plans, and data-driven decisions.

You will work in a full-time, 4x10 schedule, with emphasis on process improvement and engine quality metrics. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in quality or related engineering and several years of quality/manufacturing experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Mechanical, or Industrial engineering.
• 3 years of experience in quality or manufacturing engineering; OR 7 years of experience in quality or manufacturing engineering.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship; we cannot sponsor visas at this time.

Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate, and implement quality control objectives to resolve production problems; maximize product reliability and minimize cost.
• Respond to line calls with immediate corrective action using PDCA, 5 Whys, 8D, and A3 tools.
• Develop long-range corrective measures through root‑cause analysis aligned with corporate objectives.
• Provide accurate and timely data to management regarding quality concerns.
• Design and implement control plans and inspection routings.
• Support procurement and maintenance of gauges and measuring equipment for quality initiatives.
• Perform process, machine and gauge capability studies.
• Keep management abreast of progress, developments and pending problems.
