Job summary

SSR Mining Inc. in Nevada is seeking a Process Electrician to join our operations. Reporting to the Process Electrical Supervisor, you will maintain equipment, support planned maintenance, and help minimize downtime across the process plant, assay and met lab.

The role emphasizes safety, adherence to SOPs, and the ability to troubleshoot PLC and HV systems, read schematics, and perform field risk assessments while contributing to environmental stewardship.

Qualifications

• Two years electrical experience in a process mining environment is required.
• MSHA electrical cards preferred, but not required.
• Own and maintain required personal tools per technician’s level.
• Ability to read electrical prints and schematics; use test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs work area housekeeping duties.
• Use voltmeters, ammeters, and related testing apparatus to test defective equipment.
• Lead safety practices in line with company SOPs during work.
• Supports maintenance strategy improvements to maximize equipment availability.
• Performs work area inspections and ensures safe conditions.
• Determines if work areas are safe and free of hazards.
• Performs Field Level Risk Assessments.
• Interprets schematics, manuals and maintenance data.
• Troubleshoots and repairs electrical systems across process plant, assay and met lab, crushing plant, HV switchgear.
• Maintains PLC and motor control circuits; HV cable repairs.
• Ensures compliance with contamination control policies.
• Adheres to environmental stewardship and reports spills.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
