Job summary

Hooper Deforest, a Wisconsin-based electric power and mechanical contractor, seeks a QA/QC Manager to lead the quality assurance program across mechanical construction projects. You will ensure compliance with codes (ASME, IPC, UPC, NFPA) and drive continuous improvement with on-site teams.

The ideal candidate has 5–10+ years in construction quality management for mechanical systems (HVAC, piping) and holds or pursues certifications such as CWI or ASNT Level II/III.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 5-10+ years of progressive experience in construction quality management for mechanical systems.
• Certifications such as CWI or ASNT Level II/III preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain QA/QC plans aligned with project requirements.
• Lead site inspections, quality audits, and on-site quality teams.
• Coordinate testing, documentation and NCR management.
• Lead weekly QC meetings and report progress to management.
