Job summary

Hooper Corporation, a long-standing electric power and mechanical contractor, seeks a Project Coordinator/Manager to assist in planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating project preparations to meet cost, quality, safety, and schedule goals. The role involves manpower and material planning, subcontracting, and close collaboration with field supervision.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of technical education in engineering or construction, strong analytical and communication

Qualifications

• Two years of technical education in engineering, construction management, or completion of an apprenticeship is required.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Related construction industry experience or internships is preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating project preparations and executions to meet cost, quality, equipment utilization, and safety objectives.
• Help with planning manpower, equipment, tools, and supply needs; coordinate with union hiring halls as appropriate.
• Support establishment of objectives, timelines, budgets, and safety standards; monitor adherence via site visits and progress reports.
• Oversee maintenance and safeguarding of equipment, tools, and supplies; manage administrative contract aspects with staff and managers.
• Assist in releasing completed projects to client satisfaction and resolve closeout items.
• Maintain and file project information for permanent archives; support CAD/BIM work as needed.
• Perform additional assignments as required by management.
