Job summary

Centrus Energy Corp. is seeking an engineer to design, modify, and optimize facility piping systems, sizing equipment, and preparing compliant drawings and technical docs. You will perform calculations, ensure safety, and support procurement, commissioning, and inspections.

Candidates should have a mechanical engineering degree with at least two years of piping/ process equipment experience and must obtain a Q security clearance. Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CFD, and FEA is desired.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least two years of hands-on experience with piping, fluid systems, or process equipment.
• Experience with equipment sizing, calculations, codes, and safety practices.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Q security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, modify, and optimize facility piping systems and size mechanical equipment.
• Prepare compliant drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Perform engineering calculations and safety checks.
• Support procurement and assist with factory acceptance tests, field inspections, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
