Job summary

DuPont's Water & Protection division is seeking a Process Equipment Operator for the Styrofoam insulation plant in Channahon, IL. You will join a three-person process technician team and operate assigned areas safely, efficiently, and with environmental responsibility, performing routine testing and minor maintenance as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years manufacturing work experience.
• Must be capable of performing simple math computations involving ratios and fractions with or without a calculator.
• Must possess strong interpersonal and teamwork skills and be capable of working in an empowered team environment.
• Overtime is required to cover vacancies due to illness, vacation of other team members, and scheduled meetings.
• Must have a current, valid, US driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Meet behavior expectations in EH&S, quality, productivity, and teamwork and actively participate in continuous improvement efforts.
• Interface with process control computers to optimize and troubleshoot product quality and equipment operations.
• Perform standard and non-routine testing of product quality.
• Manually set up and adjust process equipment for product changes.
• Safely perform manual operations such as cutting foam during start-ups/jam-ups, manually stacking and grinding foam, and filling solids additive feeders.
• Perform on-shift minor maintenance, predictive/preventive maintenance (PPM), breakdown repair, and scheduled shutdown/turnaround activities.

Education
