Job summary

LiDestri Foods, a Rochester, NY-based manufacturer, seeks a dependable machine operator for our food production lines. You will prepare batches per batch cards, monitor equipment, and ensure all safety and quality checks are performed consistently.

This role emphasizes strict adherence to batch specifications and inventory accuracy. The position requires PPE compliance, basic math and computer skills, and prior machine-operator experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to use basic hand tools.
• Previous experience as a machine operator.
• Lock Out/Tag Out training.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all equipment is set up and functioning properly.
• Follow batch cards; verify codes, lot numbers, weights and descriptions.
• Prepare batches per batch cards (kettles, breddos, brix, acid, pH).
• Assist with ingredient lot number reports.
• Remove products not required for current batch run.
• Participate in CIP processes as needed.
• Keep kitchen and utensils clean and ready for use.
• Understand and follow written production orders.
• Report inventory accurately to authorized personnel.
• Report food safety and quality issues as required.
