Job summary

LiDestri Foods, based in Rochester, NY, is seeking an experienced machine operator to run manufacturing equipment efficiently while ensuring product quality and regulatory compliance. The role supports a culture of safety and continuous improvement within a large, multi-location CPG organization.

Responsibilities include set-up, operation, changeovers, and troubleshooting; maintaining GMP around machinery and completing required SOPs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior machine operation experience preferred.
• Ability to wear PPE (hair net, bump cap, gloves, safety glasses).
• Basic computer and communication skills, math and reasoning.
• Ability to use hand tools as required for testing.
• Previous forklift experience is a plus.
• Lock out/tag out certified.
• Continuous improvement and team orientation.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery, including set-up, operation, changeovers, and troubleshooting; detect product defects or machine malfunctions.
• Maintain GMP standards around machinery.
• Perform SOPs for machinery in assigned area.
• Cross train or train on equipment as defined by manager.
• Maintain accurate documentation.
• Manage raw materials into work orders.
• Work safely per company policies.
• Maintain good attendance per policy.
• Report food safety and quality problems to authorities.
