Job summary

LiDestri Foods in Rochester, NY is seeking a Manufacturing Machine Operator to safely operate machinery with maximum efficiency, ensure product quality, and follow sanitation and safety guidelines.

The role requires basic math, ability to use hand tools, PPE, and potential forklift experience; you will maintain GMP standards, perform SOPs, and support continuous improvement in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior machine operation preferred.
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Ability to apply basic computer and communication skills, math functions and reasoning.
• Ability to use various hand tools for position testing.
• Previous forklift experience is beneficial.
• Lock out/tag out certified.
• Continuous improvement and team orientation mindset.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery, including setup, operation, changeovers, and troubleshooting, to detect defects or malfunctions and adjust as needed.
• Maintain GMP standards around machinery.
• Perform SOPs for machinery in the assigned area.
• Cross-train or train on equipment as defined by management.
• Maintain accurate documentation and inventory of materials for work orders.
• Work safely following company rules; maintain good attendance.
• Report food safety and quality issues to the appropriate personnel.
