Job summary

Starbucks is seeking a Process Operator in Augusta, GA, to join the Roasting Plant operations. You will maintain a safe workspace, document quality metrics, and troubleshoot production issues to minimize downtime.

The role supports food safety and quality programs while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, experience operating batch process equipment, strong analytical skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED or 4 years of US military service.
• Ability to operate manual and automated batch process equipment.
• Proficient computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office).
• Ability to adapt and learn quickly in a flexible work environment.
• Ability to follow verbal direction and communicate status of plant process to leadership.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment.
• Participate in GMP audits and follow up on corrective actions.
• Perform daily sanitation tasks.
• Troubleshoot process interruptions and identify root cause.
• Maintain environmental parameters to ensure permit compliance.
• Inform appropriate manufacturing partners and supervisor of machine performance irregularities to minimize downtime.
• Monitor and document soluble coffee quality using analytical tools.
• Pull samples and conduct lab analysis, make process adjustments to meet specifications.
• Maintain daily production reports and exchange information with others.
• Support food safety, legality and quality programs.
