Job summary

Starbucks is seeking a Loader Technician to support green coffee handling in our Augusta plant. You will load, inspect, and move green coffee, maintain dust collection, and coordinate with roasting and logistics to meet schedules. Strong safety and quality practices are essential.

Ideal candidates bring a high school diploma or military service, plus 2 years in production or distribution. Forklift certification and the ability to lift 150 pounds are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 4 years of US military service.
• Ability to lift up to 150 pounds safely.
• Experience in production or distribution environment (2 years).
• Forklift operator certification or ability to obtain certification.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Familiarity with safety, quality and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Load green coffee into cleaning and silo storage systems.
• Monitor and maintain green coffee dust collection system.
• Coordinate with roasting and logistics to meet schedules.
• Assist with coaching of new loader technicians.
• Maintain inventory records and IPD maps for green coffee.
• Operate forklift to move green coffee to loading area.
• Troubleshoot and maintain loading station and silo areas.
• Notify maintenance about unsafe or improper conditions.
• Uphold safety as a core value and enforce safety procedures.
• Follow PPE, Lock Out Tag Out and other safety guidelines.
• Support food safety, legality and quality programs.
• Maintain GMPs and product quality documentation.
