Job summary

Amgen in Thousand Oaks, CA is seeking a Process Development Associate - Microbiology to join a collaborative team of scientists. You will execute microbiological method development studies, optimize and troubleshoot, contribute to study design, data analysis, and drafting protocols.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree with hands-on microbiology experience, aseptic techniques, and the ability to work cross‑functionally with QC, Manufacturing, and Quality.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree in a relevant field and hands-on microbiology experience.
• Experience with aseptic techniques and lab documentation.
• Ability to analyze data and draft technical reports.

Responsibilities

• Execute laboratory studies supporting microbiological method development and optimization.
• Analyze and interpret data, summarize results, and assist with protocols and reports.
• Maintain knowledge of regulatory requirements (USP, Ph. Eur., CFRs).
• Collaborate with QC Microbiology, Process Development, Manufacturing and Quality.
• Represent the Microbiology team in cross‑functional meetings and study progress communications.
• Support day-to-day laboratory operations and ensure supplies for study execution.
