Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Process Development Associate – Microbiology to advance microbial method development and troubleshooting. You will work with scientists on study execution, data analysis, and protocol drafting, while coordinating with QC Microbiology and cross-functional partners.

The role emphasizes careful documentation, adherence to regulatory guidance, and collaboration across teams to support innovative bioprocessing efforts at Amgen.

Qualifications

Hands-on experience in microbiology and aseptic techniques.
Experience with compendial microbiological methods including bioburden, endotoxins, and sterility testing.
Detail-oriented with strong lab documentation and technical writing skills.
Ability to independently organize and execute lab studies while managing multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

Execute laboratory studies supporting microbiological method development, optimization, troubleshooting and validation.
Analyze data and summarize results; assist with protocols and reports.
Interface with QC Microbiology, Process Development, Manufacturing and Quality teams.
Represent Process Microbiology in cross-functional meetings and communicate progress.
