Job summary

AstraZeneca plc is seeking a Process Mechanic at our Frederick Manufacturing Center to ensure reliable operation of bioreactors, centrifuges, purification skids, and related equipment. You will perform valve rebuilds, pump repairs, and heat exchanger fixes in a controlled GMP environment.

We value documentation accuracy, teamwork, and the ability to read schematics and diagrams. HS diploma or military training plus 0–5 years of relevant experience is required.

Qualifications

• Maintenance and mechanical trade experience relevant to bioprocess equipment.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, schematics, and piping diagrams.
• Ability to work in a clean room environment and document activities clearly.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical maintenance on bioreactors, centrifuges, and purification equipment.
• Rebuild valves, repair pumps, align motors, and fix heat exchangers as needed.
• Read and interpret P&IDs and drawings for installations and repairs.
• Complete GxP documentation accurately and timely.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping in a controlled manufacturing area.
