A growing and innovative specialty chemicals manufacturer is seeking a Process Manager to lead chemical production operations, drive process improvements, and develop high-performing technical teams. This role offers the opportunity to oversee complex chemical processes, champion safety and quality initiatives, and play a key role in scaling manufacturing performance within a dynamic production environment.
What You'll Do
- Lead daily chemical manufacturing operations while ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant production activities.
- Manage and develop a team of engineers and chemical operators through coaching, mentorship, and performance management.
- Drive process optimization initiatives focused on productivity, reliability, quality, and sustainability.
- Oversee batch production, process documentation, and compliance with quality management systems and documentation standards.
- Perform technical analysis including material balances, process troubleshooting, and operational performance reviews.
- Support equipment installations, upgrades, repairs, and process modifications while maintaining adherence to process safety management requirements.
- Collaborate across engineering, operations, quality, and leadership teams to achieve production goals, schedules, and customer commitments.
- Participate in customer-facing activities, technical presentations, and project portfolio planning when needed.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Chemical Engineering.
- Experience leading chemical manufacturing operations, production teams, or process engineering functions.
- Strong knowledge of batch and/or continuous chemical processing, process safety, reaction kinetics, mixing, and heat transfer.
- Hands-on experience with process troubleshooting, operational improvements, and process equipment implementation.
- Ability to analyze data, solve complex technical problems, and translate findings into operational improvements.
- Experience with control systems, automation platforms, and manufacturing software is highly desirable.
- Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills.
