Job summary

Aspire Talent Solutions is recruiting a Process / Production Engineer for a global chemical client in Mount Pleasant, SC. The role focuses on supporting plant unit operations, continuous improvement, and startups, while ensuring compliance with EHS/PSM regulations.

You will lead process improvement projects, troubleshoot equipment issues, and collaborate with operations teams to optimize safety, productivity, and quality across batch and continuous processes.

Qualifications

• BS Chemical Engineering degree with 3+ years experience as Process / Production Engineer/ Leader in PSM/ chemical operating plants.
• Preferred experience with Lean/ Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, PHA, MOC, P&IDs
• Familiar with process unit operations and Controls; reactors, distillation, polymerization, esterification, filtration, dryers, twin-screw extrusion, heat treatment.
• Able to work in the USA without sponsorship, now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Involved in day to day production support for the batch/ continuous chemical operations including troubleshooting and problem solving of process / equipment issues.
• Track Production Yields and Perform Mass Balances
• Handle process improvement projects.
• Manages continuous improvements in safety, productivity, quality, reliability and cost.
• Support process downtime and runtime.
• Involved with production and material planning, packaging, shipping, and receiving.
• Participate in PSM initiatives and audits.
• Implement change management processes including MOC, PSSR, P&ID, hazard reviews, SOPs, SPC, SQC.
• Lead incident investigations and problem-solving sessions (safety, quality, production, reliability, etc.)
• Assist with Training of Operations Teams.
