Job summary

TAIT seeks a Process Lead in the Mechanical Fabrication Department to guide and optimize manufacturing workflows. You will oversee safety, quality, and efficiency while implementing best practices and training team members to ensure seamless project execution for live events.

You will lead with a focus on continuous improvement, coordinating with other departments and maintaining strict adherence to drawings, labeling, and schedule requirements.

Qualifications

• 4 years of mechanical or welding experience.
• High School Degree or GED.
• Preferred experience in Epicor, Slack, and Box.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small, diverse group to achieve project goals with collaboration.
• Organize and manage workflow so team duties and tasks are clear.
• Answer technical questions from manufacturing tasks.
• Share skills to develop the department and assist with training.
• Read, understand, and use mechanical drawings.
• Support quality control by flagging defects and suggesting improvements.
• Monitor project schedules and deadlines, adjusting as needed.
• Coordinate with other departments to understand needs and report progress.
• Complete complex projects with minimal supervision.
• Manage materials, prints and supplies and assign teams accordingly.
• Ensure product labeling requirements are correctly executed.
• Perform maintenance and upkeep on equipment.
• Proactively improve methods to boost department productivity.
• Communicate project status to management.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
• Accurately capture labor hours and material usage in Epicor.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
• Attend meetings, seminars, and training sessions as required.
