Job summary

City of Georgetown, TX seeks a Business Process Analyst to support the Organizational Development office. The role coordinates with city departments to analyze workflows, manage projects, and lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean principles, data analysis, and structured problem solving.

The position will develop project plans, prepare SOPs and dashboards, and facilitate workshops while training staff on process improvement techniques.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Public Administration, Economics, Psychology, Math, Sociology, or related degree with one year of full-time experience.
• Master’s degree may substitute for the required job experience up to one year.
• Lean, CAPM or PMP preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Develops and manages project plans, including defining objectives, timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables.
• Monitors project progress, resolves issues, and ensures successful implementation and completion of projects.
• Conducts stakeholder engagement and communicates project updates to ensure alignment and transparency.
• Facilitates cross-departmental teams through problem definition and planning for implementation.
• Prepares project documentation, including scoping documents, progress reports, and final summaries.
• Manages the Lean process improvement program and facilitates Lean classes.
• Develops and implements strategies to address inefficiencies and improve performance.
• Researches and analyzes data to support continuous improvement.
