Job summary

Lubrizol Corporation in Louisville, KY is seeking a Process Improvement Engineer to lead process and technology improvement opportunities and to collaborate with Centers of Excellence and Operations to define scope for improvement projects and activities. You will analyze production loss data, champion process safety, and ensure operability and integrity of units while interfacing with site teams.

The role requires a bachelor's in engineering and 3+ years in a chemical plant, with Lean Six Sigma

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field required.
• 3+ years of engineering experience in a chemical plant.
• Proven track record in technology and process optimization.
• Vision for extracting value from process optimization.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement concepts and tools.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and goals.
• Strong communication across all site levels.
• Excellent planning, organization, and presentation skills.
• Self-driven and goal oriented.

Responsibilities

• Lead continuous improvement activities and define project scope.
• Collaborate with Centers of Excellence and Operations to develop gap closure plans.
• Analyze production loss data to identify optimization opportunities.
• Champion process safety in project design and ensure robust manufacturing processes.
• Integrate operability input into project definitions and designs.
• Maintain technical integrity and operability of supported units.
• Coordinate between project teams and plant Operations.
