Job summary

Lubrizol IMEA in Calvert City, KY, is seeking an Improvement Process Engineer to lead manufacturing process improvements that boost efficiency and safety. You will drive forward optimization projects, collaborating with CoE, EH&S, and Operations to deliver measurable value.

You will apply Lean Six Sigma principles, manage multiple initiatives, and champion process safety in all designs, ensuring robust, scalable improvements across production units.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in chemical manufacturing, process improvement, or production engineering.
• Strong understanding of continuous improvement methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across all levels and functions within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong planning, organizational, and presentation skills.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive change initiatives.
• Self‑motivated with a results‑oriented mindset and strong problem‑solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance unit performance and reliability.
• Evaluate and prioritize process improvement opportunities using data and analytics.
• Partner with CoE, Operations, EH&S, and Maintenance to define and execute improvement plans.
• Guide projects through Front-End Loading (FEL) phases as the manufacturing representative.
• Champion process safety in all project designs.
• Integrate cross‑functional input for optimal technology selection and operability.
• Ensure strong communication between project teams and plant operations.
• Lead new product trials and ensure smooth operational transition.
• Maintain accountability for technical integrity and operability of production units.
