Job summary

Vertiv in Anderson, SC is seeking a Process Improvement Engineer to own engineering process governance, documentation, and optimization for the Busbar Line of Business. The role focuses on improving efficiency, reducing waste, and ensuring changes are executed on time.

You will serve on the Change Control Board, partner with manufacturing change management, and lead Lean/Six Sigma initiatives across PLM, ERP, and CAD workflows to improve product quality and delivery performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in process/ manufacturing engineering or engineering operations with ECO/ECR/ECN exposure.
• Experience with ECO/ECN/ECR lifecycle in discrete manufacturing.
• Experience mapping processes, developing SOPs, and optimizing workflows.
• Lean/Six Sigma knowledge; Green Belt or Black Belt preferred.
• ERP/PLM/PDM tooling for BOM management and change control; SolidWorks PDM familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain engineering process documentation (SOPs, work instructions, flowcharts, RACI).
• Design and optimize workflows from intake to design release for multiple product families.
• Define and enforce SLAs for engineering deliverables; monitor compliance.
• Conduct process audits; implement corrective actions and drive improvements.
• Analyze production data to identify rework drivers and improvement opportunities.
• Lead Lean/Six Sigma initiatives; benchmark against best practices.
• Govern ECM lifecycle (ECR/ECN/ECO) across PLM, ERP, CAD; coordinate with manufacturing CM.
