Job summary

Scott & Associates, PC is seeking a Process Improvement Engineer in Plano, TX to evaluate existing processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives. The role collaborates with operations, quality, and leadership to reduce waste, improve productivity, and support operational excellence.

The ideal candidate will lead Lean/Six Sigma projects, collect and interpret data, and develop SOPs and documentation for optimized workflows.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience in process improvement, operations engineering, manufacturing, or continuous improvement roles.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, and process mapping tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools such as Excel, Minitab, Power BI, or similar software.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze current workflows, systems, and operational processes to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and root cause analysis.
  • Collect and interpret data to measure process performance, identify trends, and support decision-making.
  • Develop and implement process changes that improve efficiency, quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Create SOPs, process maps, and documentation for optimized workflows.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor KPIs and track the effectiveness of process changes.
  • Facilitate problem-solving sessions and support corrective and preventive actions.
  • Conduct time studies, capacity analysis, and workflow assessments.
  • Train employees on new processes, tools, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Support audits, compliance and quality management systems as needed.
  • Recommend automation or technology solutions where appropriate.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Process Improvement Engineer to evaluate existing processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement sustainable improvements. This role works cross-functionally with operations, quality, production, and leadership teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives, reduce waste, improve productivity, and support operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

MinimumQualifications:
