Job summary

Johnson & Johnson MedTech in San Lorenzo, PR is seeking a Business Excellence Engineering Co-Op to support process improvement projects across departments. The role runs January–December 2027, full-time (40 hours per week), with two vacancies available.

You will work under a mentor to execute projects, apply Lean Six Sigma, assist in development tasks, and prepare reports while adhering to regulatory and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Completion of Undergraduate Freshman year at an accredited university is required.
• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical or related).
• GPA 2.8 or higher reflecting all coursework.
• Enrolled in an accredited college or university with at least two years completed.
• Fluency in Spanish and English; strong written skills in both languages.

Responsibilities

• Execute projects to increase process efficiencies and reduce cycle time and cost using FPX methodologies.
• Apply Lean/Six Sigma techniques to improve areas of responsibility.
• Assist in basic project/product development tasks including specifications, documentation, testing, and validation.
• Contribute to concept/design efforts for new products or processes.
• Prepare standard reports/documentation to communicate results.
• Comply with environmental, safety and health policies including ISO14001 and OSHA 18001.
