Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Business Excellence Engineering Co-Op to be based in San Lorenzo, PR. The 2027 term runs January to December, full-time 40 hours per week with two vacancies. The role focuses on executing process improvement projects within a department or project team.

Under guidance from a mentor, you will apply Lean/Six Sigma, document results, and contribute to developing new products/processes while adhering to ISO/OSH/Environmental policies.

Qualifications

• Completion of undergraduate freshman year is required.
• Pursuing a bachelors degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, or related).
• GPA of 2.8 or higher across college coursework.
• Enrolled in an accredited college or university with at least two years of study completed.
• Previous Internship/Coop and/or Academic Research preferred.
• Extracurricular experience in a student association/organization is a plus.
• Fluency in English and Spanish; strong writing in both languages.
• Proficiency in MS Office; Visio and Minitab desirable.
• AutoCAD knowledge.
• Must be permanently authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Executes projects to improve process efficiency, reduce cycle time, cost and improve quality.
• Apply Lean/Six Sigma methodologies to processes.
• Undertake simple project development tasks including specs, documentation, testing, and validation.
• Assist in creating concepts and designs for new products/processes/test methods.
• Prepare standard reports to communicate results.
• Comply with environmental, safety and health policies.
