Job summary

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) is seeking a Process Engineering Technician I for the Manufacturing team in Lewiston, Idaho. You will provide technical support to production, clarify process specifications, and help ensure accurate and efficient manufacturing.

This swing shift position runs Mon-Fri, 3:00pm to 11:30pm. A two-year technical degree or equivalent experience is preferred, with familiarity with manufacturing equipment and basic computer tools such as Excel, Word, and SQL.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with manufacturing equipment relevant to the role.
• Basic computer skills including Windows-based tools (Excel, Word, SQL).
• Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
• Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in measuring and improving yield, efficiency, and capacity of manufacturing equipment and processes.
• Documenting, modifying, and maintaining manufacturing related procedures.
• Managing the procurement of assembly process tools.
• Training operators and support staff as needed.
• Learning and applying SEL values and world class manufacturing principles.
