Job summary

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) is seeking a Process Engineering Technician I for our Manufacturing Operations team in West Lafayette, IN. The role provides technical support to manufacturing and helps clarify process specifications for accurate production.

The position requires a two-year technical degree or equivalent experience, familiarity with manufacturing equipment, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with manufacturing equipment relevant to the role.
• Basic computer skills including Windows-based programs (Excel, Word, SQL).
• Strong writing, documentation and speaking skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in measuring and improving yield, efficiency and capacity of manufacturing equipment and processes.
• Document, modify and maintain manufacturing procedures.
• Manage procurement of assembly process tools.
• Train operators and support staff as needed.
• Learn and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operation and World Class Manufacturing Principles.
