Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician I for the Lewiston, ID site. You will perform basic preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment and assist under supervision.

The role emphasizes documentation, data entry, and learning SEL processes to ensure equipment reliability. The position requires an associate degree or equivalent experience, knowledge of electronics, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of electronic, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic technology and theory.
• Experience maintaining and performing preventive maintenance on production equipment.
• Basic knowledge of analog and digital electronics.
• Basic knowledge of modern test equipment used to diagnose equipment failures.
• Expertise in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access.
• Ability to learn new skills, follow directions, and work in a team.

Responsibilities

Job description

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) is looking for someone to join our Process Engineering team in Manufacturing Operations as an Equipment Maintenance Technician I in Lewiston, Idaho.

SHIFT: Swing (2nd shift) (Mon-Fri, 2:45pm to 11:15pm)

As an Equipment Maintenance Technician I, you'll be responsible for independently performing preventative maintenance of basic complexity on manufacturing equipment, as well as working under the guidance of Supervisor and Tech IIs and IIIs to complete tasks as needed.

A typical day as an Equipment Maintenance Technician I might include:

• Performing basic troubleshooting and repair of issues found during preventive maintenance and reactive calls.
• Entering and maintaining accurate entries in the equipment maintenance database.
• Learning and applying SEL Values, Principles of Operation, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.

This job might be for you if:

It is a plus if you have:

• Experience troubleshooting and maintaining automated manufacturing equipment, including analog, digital, and microprocessor circuits as well as vision and robotics systems.
• Basic knowledge of programming automated production equipment.
• Basic knowledge of printed circuit board assembly, mechanical assembly, and cable assembly processes.

Pay Range Data - $35.38 - $51.10 per hour (plus swing shift differential: $5.00/hr) We set starting pay based on job-related factors such as your experience, training, knowledge, and skills. We are looking to fill this position at a level 1, and we welcome applicants with a range of experience. Depending on your background, we may consider you for a different level, with compensation aligned accordingly. Level I: $35.38 - $51.10 per hour Level II: $38.33 - $55.44 per hour
