What you will do

Thermal limits are the hidden bottleneck holding back the world’s most advanced technologies - AI infrastructure, semiconductor equipment, power electronics, and mission-critical defense systems. At Johnson Controls, we don’t work around those limits - we eliminate them.

Powered by our breakthrough Stack Forging process, we engineer high-performance thermal components and integrated cooling loop solutions designed for direct deployment into AI, HPC, and other demanding environments. The result: a best-in-class thermal management platform built for the systems that push performance to the edge - and beyond.

Join the movement as a Builder on the Stack Forging Thermal Solutions team at Johnson Controls as a Process Engineering Manager n Burlington, MA.

As a Process Engineering Manager at Johnson Controls, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our advanced manufacturing technologies. You’ll lead the development, optimization, and control of complex processes that power JCI’s breakthrough innovations - bringing together expertise across process control, metallurgy, machinery controls, chemistry, and experimental design. In this role, you won’t just manage processes - you’ll build and scale a high-performing Process Engineering team, fostering a culture that is not only technically rigorous, but also collaborative, and supportive. You’ll spend time both in the lab and on the production floor, translating theory into practice, accelerating learning cycles, and driving continuous improvement where it matters most.

If you have experience developing a wide range of technical skills over your career, including deep expertise in a few relevant domains, such as printing, laser processing, coil handling, chemistry, metallurgy, controls, embedded firmware, PLCs, and experimental design, this could be your next opportunity! You will have the opportunity to delegate effectively to your team by establishing clear, productive organizational systems and naturally evaluating and adjusting them.
