Job summary

Evonik in Lafayette, IN is seeking a Manager of Process Engineering to lead a team of process engineers, delivering safe, reliable, high-quality and cost-effective manufacturing operations.

You will drive productivity, lead capital projects and collaborate with manufacturing and customers to meet business goals, while upholding cGMP and regulatory standards and developing engineering standards and practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering preferred; equivalents considered.
• 10 years chemical or pharmaceutical engineering manufacturing experience.
• Experience in multiple production facilities with different scales and technology platforms.
• Ability to identify opportunities for improvements and overcome challenges.
• Technical knowledge and practical experience to solve process engineering issues.
• Keep informed of latest technology to make recommendations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong technical problem-solving ability.
• Apply fundamental engineering and business principles.
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional computer skills in a variety of software packages.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of process engineers with coaching and workload management.
• Drive productivity and continuous improvement to optimize processes and reduce costs.
• Support equipment reliability and capital project delivery across site operations.
• Lead capital projects and ensure successful execution with scope, schedule, cost, and quality.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, customers, and cross-functional teams to meet business goals.
• Ensure safe, compliant operations with process safety and engineering standards.
• Develop, implement, and improve engineering standards and procedures.
• Share knowledge and develop engineering capabilities across the organization.
