Job summary

INEOS Olefins & Polymers USA in League City, TX, is seeking a Senior Process Engineer for Capital Projects. The role leads process design and owner’s-team leadership from FEL1 through commissioning, delivering safe, operable, and reliable designs aligned with business goals.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering is required.
7–10+ years of experience in petrochemicals, refining, or polymers process engineering.
Owner’s-team experience supporting stage-gated capital projects from FEL1 through Execute.
Proven experience delivering process engineering for both small projects and major capital projects.

Responsibilities

Lead development of process engineering deliverables for capital projects from FEL1 through commissioning.
Provide technical input to heat and material balances, PFDs/P&IDs, equipment specifications and QA/QC.
Apply process safety through HAZOP, LOPA, SIL, and MOC; ensure safe and reliable designs.
Oversee detailed engineering, contractor management, and quality assurance for projects.
Support construction, commissioning, startup, and turnover with engineering guidance.
