Job summary

LyondellBasell, a global leader in the chemical industry, seeks an experienced Olefins Process Engineer to provide leadership on capital projects and process optimization at our Houston site.

The role focuses on process safety, design calculations, and collaboration with engineering teams to enhance unit performance and reliability across olefins plants. Travel within North America may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible chemical engineering experience in refining, petrochemical, or chemical process industries.
• Olefins plant experience is a must.
• Solid understanding of unit operations and process safety management systems.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with site and management on capital projects, network goals, and opportunities.
• Provide technical leadership on capital projects and turnarounds.
• Lead or mentor technical teams to meet objectives and support process safety goals.
• Develop and validate process design data and equipment performance.
