Skydio, Inc. in San Mateo, CA is seeking a motivated Process Engineering Intern to support development and improvement of manufacturing processes for autonomous products.

You will work with experienced engineers to enhance production efficiency, quality, and scalability. You will contribute to time studies, standard work, line balancing, and NPI ramp activities, while analyzing OEE and cycle times to drive practical improvements.

Qualificações

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Solid foundation in manufacturing processes and continuous improvement concepts.
• Familiarity with time study methods (MOST/MODAPTS) is a plus.
• Strong data analysis and problem-solving abilities with data-driven mindset.
• Good communication and teamwork skills; eager to learn from engineers and operators.

Responsabilidades

• Support development and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes to boost efficiency and quality.
• Conduct time studies and analyze cycle times to identify bottlenecks and waste.
• Assist in creating and maintaining standard work instructions and process docs.
• Help with capacity studies, line balancing, and labor modeling for throughput improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support NPI and ramp activities.
• Analyze production performance data (cycle times, downtime, OEE) to spot opportunities.
• Assist with line layouts, workstation design, and material flow improvements.
• Participate in Lean and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste.
• Support projects from planning to implementation, including data collection and trials.
• Work with operators to troubleshoot and implement practical solutions.
