Job summary

Skydio is seeking an Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 season to join the Hardware Ops - Quality team. You will help define and develop quality standards for internal teams and current and future products in a fast-paced environment.

As a Quality Engineering Intern, you will root-cause issues, define metrics, and assess product and factory quality. Collaboration with mechanical and electrical engineers and data teams will be essential, with ownership over critical tasks and opportunities to

Qualifications

Junior, senior, or MS-level student in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Experience with SolidWorks and data analysis.
Understanding of PFMEA, DFM, DFA, and stack-up analysis.
Ability to articulate problem statements with root-cause analysis.
Excellent communication and collaboration in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Root cause and resolve quality yield and customer-facing product quality concerns.
Define, measure, and improve quality metrics and analytics.
Evaluate performance and reliability of products and factory quality systems.
Work closely with other engineering teams across Skydio.
Show ownership and autonomy over assigned quality tasks.
