Job summary

Skydio seeks a hands-on Process Engineering Intern to support development, implementation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes for current and next-gen autonomous products. Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master's degree in a related technical field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data interpretation ability.
• Proficiency with Excel; Python/SQL/Power BI a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support development and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes to improve production efficiency, quality, and ergonomics.
• Conduct time studies and analyze cycle times to identify bottlenecks and improve labor efficiency.
• Assist in developing and maintaining standard work instructions, process docs, and visual aids.
• Support capacity studies, line balancing, and labor modeling for throughput improvements.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Eng., Quality, Production, and Supply Chain on NPI and ramp activities.
• Analyze production performance data (cycle times, downtime, OEE) for improvements.
• Assist with line layouts, workstation design, and material flow to optimize space and efficiency.
• Participate in Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives; root-cause analysis and waste reduction.
• Support engineering projects from planning through implementation, including data collection and validation.
• Work with operators to troubleshoot challenges and implement practical solutions.
