Job summary

Novelis in Guthrie, KY has an opportunity to participate in our on-site summer 2027 internship as a Process Engineering Intern for approximately 12 weeks. The role offers hands-on experience with process engineering, quality, and operations within a greenfield site.

You will work with process engineers and technicians, support DOE improvement projects, learn about sustainability, and contribute to continuous improvement across operations while reporting to the Process Engineering Leader.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited 4-year University.
• Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or recent Graduate.
• Interest in gaining hands-on industry experience.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills essential for interacting with all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Work with process engineers and quality techs to resolve customer complaints and develop processes at a new site.
• Support Process engineers in DOE (design of experiment) improvement projects.
• Learn about sustainability, quality, customer satisfaction and implement knowledge by sharing with operations.
• Perform internal audits of machine centers to drive facility towards continuous multi-functional mentality.
• Work in multi-functional groups to support engineering, maintenance, reliability, and automation as we all support operations.
