Job summary

Novelis in Davenport, IA offers a on-site 12-week Process Engineering Intern position for Summer 2027. Report to the Process Engineering Leader and gain hands-on experience with a local Process Engineering Team.

Responsibilities include working with process engineers and quality techs to resolve issues, supporting DOE projects, and learning about sustainability, quality, and operations. Ideal candidates are enrolled in a 4-year program with Lean/CI exposure and prior internship experience.

Qualifications

• Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or recent graduate status required.
• Experience with Lean and Continuous Improvement is preferred.
• Understanding of heat-treatment of aluminum is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with process engineers and quality techs to address customer complaints.
• Support DOE improvement projects for process optimization.
• Learn sustainability, quality, and customer satisfaction concepts and apply them in operations.
• Conduct internal audits of machine centers to promote continuous improvement.
• Work with cross-functional groups to support engineering, maintenance, reliability, and automation.
