Job summary

Novelis in Guthrie, KY invites a Process Engineering Intern for a roughly 12-week on-site experience this summer. You will work with process engineers and quality techs, gain hands-on exposure, and report to the Process Engineering Leader.

This internship emphasizes learning about sustainability, continuous improvement, and operations; you will participate in DOE projects, audits, and cross-functional teams to support the site’s goals and readiness for future opportunities.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited 4-year University as a sophomore, junior, senior, or recent graduate.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interactions across the organization.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer.

Responsibilities

• Work with process engineers and quality techs to resolve customer complaints, qualify new customers, and develop processes at a new site.
• Support Process engineers in DOE (design of experiment) improvement projects.
• Learn about sustainability, quality, customer satisfaction and share knowledge with operations.
• Perform internal audits of machine centers to drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, reliability, and automation teams to support operations.
