Job summary

Novonesis is seeking a Process Engineering Intern to join our on-site team in Wausau, WI for a approximately 10-week program. You will analyze manufacturing data, support across fermentation and finished goods, and work with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements.

Ideal candidates are pursuing degrees in engineering with a 3.0+ GPA, in sophomore standing or higher, and able to arrange housing and transportation.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a degree in Food, Biochemical, Biological, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA.
  • Sophomore standing or higher at the time of application.
  • Ability to arrange housing and transportation.
  • Interest in manufacturing, biotechnology, and process improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze manufacturing data and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Support operations across fermentation, recovery, granulation, and finished goods areas.
  • Participate in troubleshooting activities and root-cause investigations.
  • Assist with process optimization projects and production trials.
  • Develop engineering calculations, technical reports, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with operators, engineers, quality teams, and production leaders.
  • Present project findings and outcomes to site leadership.
