Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) is seeking a Process Engineering Co‑Op or Process Control Co‑Op. This role supports mill optimization, data analysis, and quality control in our corrugated packaging operations.

The position offers hands‑on experience with process systems, AutoCAD, and office software, with opportunities at PCA’s 10 mill locations. Applicants should be chemical or paper engineering majors and eligible for U.S. work authorization.

Qualifications

• GPA 3.0/4.0 minimum required and must be a permanent U.S. resident.
• Majoring in Chemical or Paper Engineering or related field; must have freshman year completed by time of co‑op/intern.
• Must be 18 years or older at time of co‑op/intern.

Responsibilities

• Support process optimization and engineering projects to improve mill efficiency, reliability, quality, safety and cost.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret process data to troubleshoot issues and support decisions.
• Conduct routine pulp, paper, and chemical testing to support evaluations and quality control.
• Monitor key process sensing equipment and control systems for accuracy and reliability.
• Assist with startup activities, maintenance inspections, and safety documentation updates.
