Job summary

Johnson & Johnson MedTech in Añasco, PR, is seeking a Process Engineering Co-Op to participate in a year-long program from January to December 2027. The role is full-time (40 hours per week) and onsite five days a week, with opportunities to work on diverse engineering tasks across disciplines.

You will support planning and design of materials, equipment, and processes, collaborate with engineers and technicians, and help evaluate project results as part of a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Undergrad freshman year completed and enrolled in an engineering program.
• Pursuing bachelor’s degree in mechanical, chemical, or industrial engineering.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Enrollment in college during the Co-op/internship is required.
• Actively pursuing at least a bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Available to work full-time (40 hours/week) during Co-op/Internship.
• Must provide own transportation and onsite 5 days a week.
• Leadership or campus/community service activities preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools (Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Word).

Purpose

You Will Be Responsible

• Opportunity to work on a variety of engineering assignments utilizing a wide range of engineering principles.

• Partner with teams of engineers and technicians as necessary to achieve project completion.
• Assist with facilitating and conducting engineering assignments.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Completion of Undergraduate Freshman year at an accredited University is required.
• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering mechanical, chemical, or industrial engineering, or related fields.
• Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, which is reflective of all college coursework.
• Enrollment (not necessarily taking classes) in an accredited college/university during the Co-op/Internship is required.
• Actively pursuing at least, a bachelor’s degree in engineering, academic major is required.
• Availability of working full-time (40 hours/week) during the Co-op/Internship is required.
• Must be able to provide their own transportation and it is required to be onsite 5 days a week.
• Demonstrated leadership and/or participation in campus/community service activities is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools, including Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, and Word.

Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually requires future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.
