Job summary

CompoSecure is seeking a hands-on Process Engineer to join our manufacturing operations team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. You will support yield improvement, product industrialization, production troubleshooting, and NPI, working on the afternoon shift (8 AM – 5 PM) to optimize processes and onboard new products.

The role emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive cost efficiency, process control, and continuous improvement while maintaining safety and quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering (or equivalent).
• 5+ years in a high-volume manufacturing environment (24/7 preferred).
• Experience in product industrialization, material qualification, yield improvement, root cause analysis, and process troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with NPI processes, including process validation and production readiness.
• Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, and other process control methodologies.
• Proficiency with data analysis tools (Excel, Minitab, JMP) and manufacturing systems (MES, ERP).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across shifts and cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to work across shifts and weekend coverage as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time process support for production teams on the working shift.
• Analyze and improve manufacturing yields and identify scrap/root cause via data methods.
• Lead product industrialization with process optimization and capacity planning.
• Lead or support NPI activities including process validation and ramp-up readiness.
• Lead material qualifications and ensure process compatibility and durability.
• Collaborate with Quality/Maintenance/Operations to drive continuous improvement.
• Develop SOPs, process docs, and training materials for staff.
• Support Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to reduce waste and improve control.
• Monitor KPIs for yield, cycle time, downtime, and quality with regular reporting.
