Job summary

Precision Castparts seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to evaluate manufacturing processes and equipment with a strong focus on safety, quality, yield, and productivity improvements. The role involves identifying delays, reducing waste, coordinating with engineering disciplines, and ensuring adherence to procedures and SWIs.

You will work on process optimization, PFMEA support, and training staff on new technologies.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Materials Science Engineering or related technical degree.
• 3–5 years of manufacturing experience.
• Green Belt Six Sigma preferred.
• Familiar with engineering principles and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate manufacturing processes and equipment to improve Safety, Quality, Yield and Productivity.
• Identify delays and sources of waste; refine processes using engineering principles.
• Assist with equipment maintenance and ensure procedures are followed to keep production equipment operational.
• Provide data-driven reports to management to support future manufacturing needs.
• Identify technology solutions to reduce steps and improve Safety, Quality and Cost.
• Support PFMEA and 8D investigations and root-cause analyses.
• Train staff on new technology and methods and ensure SWI's are in place.
• Establish metrics and trend charts to measure process performance and drive improvement.
