Job summary

Precision Castparts seeks a Process Control Engineer to join a dynamic technical team in a Portland plant. You will apply engineering principles to projects that improve safety, quality, and delivery while driving manufacturing efficiency and productivity.

You will lead small projects, manage budgets, and develop control plans. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, data analysis skills, and experience with SPC, JMP, PowerBI, and related tools as you collaborate across production

Qualifications

Experience with data analysis and statistical process control.
Experience writing technical processing requirements for manufacturing or equivalent.
General knowledge of materials science engineering, manufacturing processes and investment casting technology.
Manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

Improve plant safety and set specifications for processing parts.
Become SME for area of responsibility and manage project budgets.
Learn JMP, JMP Live, and PowerBI; track metrics and implement improvement plans.
Use statistical process control to monitor performance and react to out-of-control conditions.
Reduce scrap and rework; work with Manufacturing Engineering to improve equipment.
