Job summary

Ingredion is seeking a Process Engineer - Utilities in Cedar Rapids, IA to optimize manufacturing processes, improve efficiency, quality, throughput, and sustainability. You will grow process expertise within an operating unit, implementing projects from concept to startup and driving continuous improvements across the plant.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and initiative, with a focus on safety, reliability, and cost control.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent technical experience.
Process improvement experience in a manufacturing operations environment.
Ability to troubleshoot processes & equipment and implement improvement plans.
Experience implementing capital projects/permits and performing engineering functions in manufacturing.
Knowledge of corn wet milling processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

Execute projects with budgets up to $10M or as part of project teams.
Provide technical support on facility safety initiatives.
Troubleshoot, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement action plans.
Provide engineering studies, designs, and justifications for Operations' goals.
Maintain historical data to monitor efficiencies and costs.
Evaluate and implement plant safety, reliability, and cost improvements.
Stay current in discipline and assess new technologies for efficiency and capability.
Conduct process training and ensure documentation is up to date.
