Job summary

Amazon's North America Tech Deploy (NA TD) team is seeking a Process Engineer to drive continuous improvement, optimize deployment processes, and ensure successful installation and commissioning of fulfillment center technologies across North America.

The role blends data-driven problem solving with project management to deliver scalable solutions that improve safety, quality, and efficiency in technology deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial or Mechanical), Operations Research, or related fields.
• 3+ years of experience in process engineering, process improvement, or operational excellence within a manufacturing, logistics, or technology deployment environment
• Experience with value stream mapping and Lean/Six Sigma methodologies
• Proficiency in data analysis and metrics development to measure process performance
• Experience working cross-functionally with multiple stakeholder teams
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience developing and implementing standards, policies and programs or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and maintain standard work instructions, SOPs, and process documentation for technology installations and deployments
• Analyze deployment data to identify trends, root causes of defects, and opportunities for process improvement
• Lead Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and other Lean/Six Sigma initiatives to reduce waste and improve deployment cycle times
• Partner with cross-functional teams to drive alignment on deployment standards and best practices
• Conduct site visits to observe installations, gather Voice of Customer (VOC) feedback, and validate process adherence
• Drive lessons learned processes and ensure corrective actions are implemented across the network
• Manage escalations related to process deviations and coordinate resolution with stakeholder teams
