Job summary

Actalent in Fremont, CA is seeking a Process Engineer to maintain SPC, monitor production quality and drive first-pass yield improvements. You will analyze data, troubleshoot processes and support cross-functional teams.

This role requires a BS in Chemical Engineering, 0-3 years experience, and strong analytical skills. The position is fully onsite with a competitive base salary and benefits package, including health, dental, vision and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from a four-year college or university.
• 0-3 years experience in a relevant role.
• Strong knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read, write and follow written or verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Daily monitoring of production for quality, cycle time, EHS compliance, and consistency with documented work practices.
• Oversee SPC related activities for critical processes.
• Determine root causes for out-of-control products and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare periodic statistical reports for customers and ensure timely submission.
• Manage Nonconforming Material Reports and ensure proper closeout and corrective actions.
• Support QA on customer complaints related to batch manufacturing and work on CAR.
• Write and modify Work Instructions for existing products.
• Troubleshoot and resolve process equipment problems.
• Collaborate with Maintenance/Production and manage change on equipment repairs and process changes.
