Job summary

Impact Confections, based in Janesville, Wisconsin, seeks a Process Engineer to scale up new products and technologies while driving efficiency across existing manufacturing processes. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in food science, food technology, chemical/industrial engineering or related field.
• Experience in a food manufacturing environment with new product or process development and quality systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and experience with continuous improvement methodologies.
• Familiarity with GMP, HACCP, and regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and translate product specs into process parameters and in-process controls.
• Set up SPC and define control limits to meet KPIs and quality targets.
• Plan and execute line trials from pilot to production scale with data collection and reporting.
• Lead or support scale-up of new products and processes with cross-functional teams.
• Capture and protect IP arising from process and technology development.
• Manage BOMs, translate formulations to ERP systems, and support costing and production planning.
• Collaborate with Operations, CI, QA, and Supply Chain to improve process performance.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and quality systems through audits and CAPAs.
