Job summary

Danone North America is seeking a Process Engineer to optimize and scale dairy and plant-based beverage production. You will partner with Operations, QFS, R&I, and Engineering to deliver safe, cost-effective, consumer-preferred processes.

The role requires strong communication, initiative, and adaptability in a dynamic setting. Responsibilities include optimizing unit operations (batching, pasteurization, homogenization, fermentation, filling), leading process development, driving Lean/Six

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical/Process engineering, Food Engineering or related field.
• 1–5 years of manufacturing or process engineering experience.
• Experience in CPG, food, or beverage manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Process optimization and scale-up of batching, pasteurization, homogenization, fermentation, and filling.
• Co-lead new process development and validation with R&I and Ops Engineering.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement efficiency improvements.
• Support line trials, scale-ups, and product commercialization activities.
• Lead or support Lean / Six Sigma initiatives (waste, yield, downtime, process capability).
• Perform root cause analysis on production issues.
• Drive OEE improvement projects.
• Develop and maintain industrial trial reports, SOPs, etc.
• Ensure GMPs, HACCP and food safety plans compliance; handle pasteurization and validation.
• Collaborate with QFS to resolve deviations and support regulatory compliance.
