Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a chemical engineering role.
• Excellent communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Understands Chemical Engineering fundamentals and how to apply them to solve technical problems.
• Performs heat exchanger rating, hydraulic calculations, relief calculations, and distillation column evaluations.
• Specifies pumps, heat exchangers, steam traps, instruments, and other equipment via data sheet development.
• Develops and issues process letters to document process studies, designs, and evaluations.
• Conducts hazard identification (FMEA, What If, HAZOP) and manages risk through LOPA for process changes.
• Participates in Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs) and supports unit startups, shutdowns and turnarounds.
• Mentors and coaches entry level process engineers.
