Qualifications

• BS in Chemical Engineering with 3-5 years of experience.
• Broad understanding of chemical process fundamentals and process safety management.
• Knowledge of standard and engineering software tools and programs.
• Prior leadership experience is a plus.
• Ability to independently analyze and find creative solutions to improve complex chemical processes.
• Ability to troubleshoot with operations using modern analytical software tools.

Responsibilities

• Optimize chemical processes and identify process improvement opportunities to increase efficiency and productivity.
• Initiate and implement process changes to improve performance, efficiency and safety.
• Ensure Process Safety information including P&ID’s, procedures and interlock matrices is up-to-date.
• Regularly review process performance to identify deviations affecting efficiency and rates.
• Prepare basic process design packages for capital project initiation and execution.
• Provide technical support to operations and environment for troubleshooting and regulatory compliance.
• Provide technical training in support of process changes and new processes.
• Lead process safety studies.
